About the toilets in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has few public toilets for a city of almost a million inhabitants and millions of visitors a year. When you need one, you often depend on a café, a department store or a station, or on the city's green street urinals, which are for men only. That is exactly why LooView measures here: not to judge, but to record which toilet is clean, where paper and soap are in stock and which door is wide enough for a wheelchair.
Every measurement comes from an inspector who takes two photos on the spot with Snap & Certify. The LooIndex engine scores hygiene, stock, accessibility and safety from 0 to 100 and assigns a class from A to D. Nobody can buy or adjust a score, not even the operator of the toilet. This page shows the measured toilets of Amsterdam with their score, the date of the last measurement and the features that matter to you.
The map of Amsterdam opens once 500 toilets have been measured, one per 2,000 inhabitants. Until then this page shows honestly how far the city has come. Measuring along? Everyone who measures a toilet before the map opens keeps their name here.
